Comments: What a delight, fresh seafood prepared on a wood fired grill combined with unique yet simple ingredients from around the globe. The tastes were bright and crisp on what was a fulfilling but not overpowering meal. If you go we suggest starting with several raw oysters from around the world and if you dare pair this with your favorite vodka, followed by the surf and turf which had a fresh Maine lobster and a four (4) oz. Kobe Filet. This was a match made in heaven. We also recommend a reservation or plan on waiting for your table. Hey once you see the wine list this may not be such a bad situation to find you and your guests.

The staff and patrons are easy going, courteous and willing to engage in conversation making for that southern homey feeling while enjoying your dinner. The wine list is the kicker which sends this place over the top. All in all what better place for the FishingFatGuys.com team to enjoy a meal after a long day on the water.

Comments: The perfect storm in dining and wine. #1, #2 and #3 have enjoyed several visits which have never let them down. During their most recent experience they indulgent in a 5 course tasting menu accompanied by paired wines. This was a unique dinner and a first for some of the group. The meal included a starter of ‘potato foam', very different and something they have never tasted or may never get to taste again. The group concluded the favorite of the evening was a seared duck breast with chanterelle mushrooms paired with a 1981Robert Pepi, Vine Hill Ranch, Cabernet Sauvignon, as stated earlier the perfect storm of food and wine.

Comments: A short commute from The Hilton Beach Resort Tara's is unique to the area and something the Fatguys did not expect to find in Southwest Florida . Potentially, more suited for Boston or NYC Tara's proved to be an exceptional dining experience and one we recommend highly if interested in a well prepared steak and several traditional sides some with just a bit of a twist.

The bar is well stocked and able to concoct anything your heart desires, the wine selection may possible be the best we have found in Southwest Florida (we will continue our search) and the food was impeccable.

We started with a shrimp cocktail followed by the lettuce wedge with blue cheese followed by the porter house for the table accompanied by side of lobster mac & cheese and creamed spinach. Traditional yes, delicious and the wine selection were awesome.

Comments: A Marco Island landmark located on the Marco River . The food is well prepped and tasty but the true attraction is the nightly activity and bar scene. The large outside space house a stage and well stocked bar, which is the perfect place to enjoy the ‘catch of the day cooked to your liking and a beverage of your choice. We can't say for certain but this could be one place where locals, snowbirds and vacationers can come together and exchange stories for their latest fishing adventures.

If you desire a bit more relaxed setting ask to seated inside where you can take advantage of the salad bar complete with a barrel of homemade pickles. We recommend the broiled seafood plate it will not let you down! Honestly the Fatguys have paid twice as much in higher end establishments for much less on the plate in both quality and quaintly.

Comments: To date this has been the best meal we found in Key West for many reasons. Louie's is located right on the water next to the only ‘doggie beach' located in Key West . The view spectacular especially if enjoying a cocktail while watching the sun set. As for wine, the cellar is not the largest, yet has several unique selections form various points around the world. We recommend the house special shrimp and grits which was perfectly prepared and seasoned paired with either a Chardonnay or our choice the Wild Hog Pinot Noir. The perfect match found only in Key West !
